Bell Canada made $10.2 billion in profits last year, yet they have just announced that they are cutting 1,300 workers off the payroll while shutting down half a dozen local radio stations. Columnist Marc Edge says this is another example of the company showing no social responsibility and a greater need for “a total revamping of Canada’s communication system.”
