The Daily — Study: Youth and education in Canada

Young Canadians generally have a higher level of education than their counterparts across OECD countries, with 63% of young Canadians aged 25 to 34 attaining a college or university education compared with the OECD average of 45%. This is mainly due to a higher proportion of young Canadians attaining a college education—24% compared with the OECD average of 8%.

Some areas of debate exist even within progressive circles of how best to deal with climate change. Investing in and reorganizing current production processes to drastically reduce carbon emissions and build mitigation programs all takes time, energy, overlapping processes, and a heck of a lot of money. U of T wrote that contracting out cleaning work is part of the university’s long-term strategy as a public sector institution. “Our mission is to deliver world-class post-secondary education and conduct leading edge research, in a fiscally responsible manner,” a spokesperson for the university wrote.
